Robert Daniel Trussell

Robert "Bob" Trussell, 83, of Plantsville, CT, passed away on March 15, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 17, 1941, in Easton, MD.

Bob was a dedicated individual who had a successful career. He worked at the Upjohn Company in the Process Development and Quality Assurance Laboratory for many years before transitioning to sales at Axton Cross and Turf Products Corporation. He later retired from The Cheshire Herald in 2005.

Bob was deeply involved in his community and had various interests. He was an active member of the Republican Town Committee, serving as Treasurer and 4th District Coordinator. He was also a member of Temple Lodge 16, where he served as Master in 2001. Additionally, he was a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of New Haven, and Lafayette Consistory. Bob was known for his volunteer work at the Cheshire Senior Center and his passion for stamp collecting. He was a member of The American Philatelic Society, The American Revenue Association, The American Radio Relay League with the amateur radio call sign KA1KJV, the Silver City Gun Club, Connecticut Citizens Defense League, and The National Rifle Association.

Bob is survived by his wife, Catherine of 35 years; children Robert Trussell Jr. and Janet, Lisa Hague and husband Richard, Michele Dubay and husband Richard; grandchildren Jason Hague, Alyssa Hague, Gabriella Radin, Eli Radin; great-grandchildren Charles and Lily Hague. He was preceded in death by his son Jamie, his father Rev. Frederick C. Trussell, and his mother Marion W. Trussell (Wilson).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11am at Holy Saviour Parish at the National Catholic Church in Naugatuck. Bob's legacy of hard work, community involvement, and diverse interests will be remembered by all who knew him.
